| What Card is Needed to Drive the DuoDisk |
Posted by: CompactMacLover on 2011-03-25 11:36:39 I was cleaning out the closet this afternoon and found a DuoDisk Drive.
What controller card is needed to drive this??
I got a rough Apple IIe, missing keys and such, and Apple III Monitor and now the duo disk to go along with it

Posted by: david__schmidt on 2011-03-25 13:51:35 You need a new-style Disk II controller card with the 19-pin D-shell cable. The ones I have are labeled "Apple 5.25 Drive Controller 655-0101." See:

I purchased the Yellowstone Everything Bundle and I was able to drive my DuoDisk off of it. I was also able to drive an Apple 5.25" Drive off of it, just not at the same time as the DuoDisk.
