| Getting Debian 6, 2.6.32-5 kernel to run on Quadra 605. | |

A number of other people got the parts together, but I wrote up the method, and worked out the install using a ramdisk. (I'm not averse to recompiling kernels, obviously)My experience has been, the later the year on the card and the more apple the better, early cards were buggy in their implementation of networking. The 605 has a apple 820-0443-e from 1993. This then goes into a aaui <-> 10bT transceiver. I'ld assume that if 7.6.1 doesn't need a special driver loaded you should be fine. I have had Farralon and Asante cards that worked under linux. Also do you know if xf68 has been working at all? I'd love to use a q605 as a thin X client... :\No. I'll try and get an X working.
