Papyrus is the only (former) commercial program I have tried (still available for free download from the company), and is great once you get something into it, but its weakness is that it does not connect to much "out there" to get things into it. So i have been wondering about using BibDesk to gather the details and then importing the text file into Papyrus. But lots of fiddling involved.
There were also HyperCard referencing programs, including one for BibTeX files, so I have been wondering whether it could be coaxed to work alongside BibDesk.
Would unicode be a problem in these cases, do you suppose?
