Hi all,
After a little wanted ad on Craigslist, I now have the above machines. $155 for all.
The eMac is a G4 1.33GHz or something... couldn't read the entire label. Apparently has a bad PS, and also is missing the drive caddy. Free.
Intel iMac (1.83GHz). This was in pieces, and was mine for $30. The included LCD is badly scratched, and the guy I bought this stuff from said that someone used the wrong LCD and busted the power (DC-DC) board. The iMac powers up to a "?" folder with an external display, though. So, I need a DC board, HD caddy, and possibly LVDS cable, and I'll have a new workbench Mac!!
And the gem: a TAM. With a G3 upgrade. It's just the TAM and base unit, no keyboard/mouse or goodies. But definitely a start for me! $125. Unfortunately, the HD died on the way home - it spins up and "clicks" off immediately.
Needless to say, I'm thrilled =)

It's over kill, but Amazon has the Western Digital 2.5" IDE 320GB drive new for $89.99 with 3 year warranty....

Mac's before 2002 have a 128GB limit. The TAM would only see that much, unless there's a mod for it.

Thanks! I'm still fairly excited about it myself. Need to track down a keyboard/mouse and the accessories for it, but at least that gives me something to do for the next few years 😉
The eMac has bad caps. Oh well.
The iMac needs a SATA hard drive cable. The only one I have is not right-angled, so the case is currently being held together by packing tape :I I'm just going to use it as a desk machine at the shop I work in, so no big hurry on ordering the proper cable.
Also, customer gave me an iMac G5 1.8GHz, but the cable is too short. PS might be on its way out, but the customer cracked the screen taking it in to the shop > 🙁

128GB limit. The TAM would only see that much Three partitions? No, that won't help.
OWC (macsales.com) have a software driver for large disk support; I think it's free if you buy a large drive from them, otherwise $25. The other options are to use a PCI IDE or SATA card, or a PCI USB* or Firewire card with an external drive. In either case, it's still worth checking whether a larger drive will work with the specific card.
* remembering of course that you only get USB1.1 speeds under OS9.x.x and earlier.
