Hauling it home was not easy, as my commute involves a subway and two bus trips. Thankfully, I didn't drop it or anything like that.
Sadly, it's not the 4mL edition, which is bred for Macintoshes and can handle PostScript.

Geez, your school hangs onto the old stuff! No kidding! There's still another IIsi, a IIx, a IIcx, an Apple IIe w/ DuoDisk, and a Plus W/ KEYBOARD all in that basement.
BTW, the 4L is slow, there's no denying that. However it's shallow-but-wide form factor lets me shove it under my bed, and with a USB/Parallel adapter it works just fine with Windows 7.

When I was in middle school ten years ago, a teacher at my school was going to toss a Mac Classic. I asked him why he was tossing it and he said it didn't work right. He then said that if I could have it as long as it was OK with the principal. At the end of the day I went to the principal's office with the teacher, he OKed it and thought it was great someone could give the Mac a new life, and I went back to the classroom to get the Mac. Unfortunately, my bus had already left by this point. I had to call my mom for a ride, and when she found out why I missed my bus, her first reaction was "oh no, another Mac!"
The Mac wound up being in good working order and still works to this day. As a bonus, the keyboard on the computer was an Apple IIGS model, which I prefer to the standard Classic keyboard.
