| Control Dock?? |
Posted by: Olympiaman1010 on 2010-08-11 17:34:22 Can someone please tell me how to put the pull out tab dock in system 7.5? It is just the control panel looking one with the monitor, sound ect. that I am looking for. I have seen it in numerous pictures and can't seem to figure where or how to go about getting it.
It looks like the one shown here: http://www.macintoshgarden.org/games/risk-deluxe
Thanks,

Posted by: Bunsen on 2010-08-11 21:17:52 That's called the Control Strip. You'll have to switch it on in the Extensions Manager - I think there's both an extension and a control panel. Then reboot. If it's not in EM, it's probably not installed.

Posted by: Olympiaman1010 on 2010-08-12 11:16:56 *Update* Ok, I used tomeviewer and put the extension into the control panel. Any ideas why it would give me this message when I try to open it "The control panel "Control Strip" cannot be used with this Macintosh." It is a LCIII with system 7.5.3, from what I thought the control strip was used... Anyone???

Posted by: Olympiaman1010 on 2010-08-12 12:22:59 This is the install that I was using. I think you could use it for a powerbook but I think it should work for the LCIII... Correct me if I am wrong?

Posted by: Dog Cow on 2010-08-12 13:35:39 You probably need a newer version of Control Strip, such as the one that came with System 7.5.3.
