Hey.
I figure this may be borderline inappropriate, but I'm willing to chance it because of the potential the idea has.
A long time ago, Microsoft made a version of Visual C++ that would cross-compile to the Macintosh Toolbox and the 68k processor. Apparently in version 4.0 or so they "added PowerPC support" - never was it explicitly mentioned that 68k support was removed.
The last version I know of to have the Cross-Compilation Edition was version 4.2 ... That said, I have next to no information about it other than its existence.
What I would like to know :
- Will it compile to support System 6 at all, or would it be System 7 only?
- Does anyone know where to find the darned thing?! ( Seriously, all the usual places and quite a few unusual and still no leads :?: )
If anyone here has any information on this beast, please let me know!
