Nubus "SCREEN" PIF output board ver. 1.1

Anyone know what this is? It is a Nubus board and I only know that It came from some publishing house.

Quick search on Google leads me to believe it's some sort of hardware PostScript RIP.

Thanks! I was hoping someone has more info or at least mentions whether it's usefull or not. Otherwise I will pull out all 74FCTxxx/74HCTxx, GAL,PAL and vertical SIL RAM chips (all IC's are socketed) and the rest goes to dumpster.
