| Apple Ethernet AUI adapter |
Posted by: CelGen on 2015-05-21 07:53:22 Holla holla, $2.

Was this really necessary Apple? AAUI already supplies +5v for AAUI transceivers and has enough juice to power regular AUI transceivers using a simple pin adapter. Why do you need to make an external power brick?

My assumption is you will find the AAUI-AUI conversion is completely passsive, along with a +5V transformer and a simple switching circuit driven by the mac's own +5v AAUI supply.
