Your eyes do not deceive you: it is an SE/30 with WebStar. Someone used this machine as a web server. And it was $0. I don't think the person who had it ever tried it out to see what was on it.
It is also clearly suffering from early symptoms of simasimac, so I will probably crack it open and rescue the hard disk and NIC, and then
try to restore it. (I have another fully working SE/30, but it runs AppleShare and serves bootblocks to the IIgs.)

Posted by: Mike Richardson on 2009-12-03 09:03:12 I bought a huge lot of old Macs from the non-profit recycler a few years ago. Most of the Macs were all from the same company and none of the hard drives were wiped. I pretty much had their entire setup from the 90's complete with a WebStar web server (IIci), a file server (Quadra), secretary machines, workstations, LaserWriter printers, etc.

Posted by: olePigeon on 2009-12-03 10:20:24 I think you should put the SE/30 up on the web and host a webpage. 🙂

I think you should put the SE/30 up on the web and host a webpage. 🙂 I am actually considering that very thing. I do have some space on the rack and some unallocated public IPs. Maybe I'll put classilla.org on it. |)
