Just got a Macintosh IIE

Just got one yesterday for free! Drove 45 minutes to get it. I got 6 boxes of disks with it, a bunch of software, 2 drives, and all the manuals with it. Actually, got 3 copies of the manuals. Also was given a bunch o books on it, and just a ton of goodies! Will post a picture tomorrow when I get a chance. The only thing I didn't get was a monitor for it, but for free I cannot complain.

You mean an Apple IIe? 😉

Either way, nice score...especially for the price! One thing about the Apple II series machines...if you don't have a monitor, you should be able to use just about any TV that has a composite video input.

How fortunate for you. Make sure to read the manuals and keep them safe. Too many people these days get an Apple, but unfortunately can't figure out how to make it work due to the fact that the system is relatively esoteric compared to today's personal computers. The manuals are authoritative.

I am still using a television set for my //e until I can find a decent video monitor for a good price.
