Need AI 9 Upgrade Media . . .
Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2009-11-11 20:39:47
. . . the folks at Adobe agree that I am a licensed user of AI 9 and would have pointed me to one of their "secret download sites" to replace my missing CD . . .

. . . but they haven't got anything that old online for me to download!

I'm not asking for the full version, I've got my software key dating all the way back to AI'88 and packaging with labels (and checkbook records) that prove that I got the AI 6 upgrade directly from Adobe and the AI 9 upgrade from a specific retail vendor..

If anyone has the AI 9 upgrade media to email to me, please PM me. If anyone wants to sell the media and manual PM ME! All I can find is the "shortcut guide" and installations on HDDs, each about 10 years old or so, located in my 466 DA as backups for one other under different flavors of 9.x.

I want to do a fresh install on the QS'02, now that I've got the Video Card incompatiblilty issue ironed (yanked) out and have it running with a reasonable level of stability. Just gotta max out the RAM w/matched sticks . . .

. . . when I have the spare change. :🙂

TIA,

OK, I'm a registered user of AI9 and Adobe can't/won't replace my media! I originally asked for only the upgrade media, but If anyone has the full version of Illustrator 9, please send me a PM. Meanwhile, I'll look at the old Magazine CDs for a demo that might activate using my Registration Number, (a VERY long shot, but what the heck!) ISTR some demos could be activated.

Sorry to be bumping this post, but I don't want to downgrade to 8 and I don't want to trust the aging HDD in my DA which has 9 on it.

Adobe! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THX, I thought of backing up the AI9 drive to the new one, but i REALLY want to have the media for "backup/re-installation" of the program should the need arise.
