Nice newer PPC finds!

Its not exactly a free conquest, but I think the deals on these finds is pretty good! I'm picking up a Dual 1.25GHz G4 + 17" LCD for $50 tomorrow and a 1.8GHz 20" iMac G5 (without ISight)for $150. Pretty sure these are good deals! I'll post detailed specs once I get them.

The dual G4 sounds like a great deal if it works and is complete. I am waiting for G4's to be about worthless and then snag one or two for the collection (os 9.x native booting models).

Turns out that the iMac G5 is 1.8GHz/1GB RAM/160GB HD/CD-RW with a 128MB Radeon 9600 graphics card and Leopard Server.

The G4 was 933MHz/512MB/60GB/Combo Drive

So sadly these aren't as great as I thought they would be, but still a good bargain... I think?

Depends on if they work.

I think you did very well on both. Usually they both sell for double or more (at least here they do).

The iMac sounds good, but I reckon that you should offer less for the 933Mhz G4 (Quicksilver?). A dualie G4 is still good for "everyday" use but a single G4 933Mhz won't cut it, or lose value very quickly.

I think you did remarkably well on the machines. I would have at least expected to pay at minimum oh $250 for that iMac around here. The g4 could have been better unless that came with the LCD mentioned in your prior post. The LCD is worth $50 at least. Around my area, lcds go for $60 minimum, so if you got an LCD with the g4, it would be worth it.

If the G4 is a dual CPU machine then yes, you got a good deal.

I dislike iMacs so my view is that you wasted money on it.
