Daylight Savings Time Hack
Posted by: Dennis Nedry on 2009-11-01 13:02:14
I had trouble searching for this, but I'm sure someone will know.

I was wondering if there are any DST hacks for old classic Mac OS versions, especially System 7. They changed the date of DST a couple years ago and thus, the DST would need to be hacked just a bit to work properly again.

Also, if such a hack does exist (which I could swear I remember something, maybe OS 9...), how well does it translate to slightly different versions of Mac OS? i.e. 7.5, 7.5.3, 7.6.1, etc. Maybe it's just an easy ResEdit resource hack, or maybe there's a big data fork hex dump to transverse...

Daylight Savings Editor for 8.5 to 9.2.2 located here http://www.mactcp.org.nz/daylight.html.

There's also this: Os9 daylight saving editor 2007

I don't know how it compares to the file that ccmac linked to, though.

Does Vremya (an NTP client for classic Mac OS) work with the changed DST dates?

Or use Network Time.
