Does anyone know for sure whether or not a Road Rocket pcmcia video card will work in a cardbus-enabled 2400c or 3400c?

The publicity from the period states only that the card is compatible with the G3 PowerBooks.

Can't see why not. It's just a video output card, so it should mount with the appropriate drivers. Cardbus is Cardbus.

The G3s have "Zoomed Video" connections on one PCMCIA slot, whatever that is. Normally it's for a DVD decoder card. :scrambled:

Zoomed Video is for video *in*put - it's a direct pipe into the GPU, bypassing the rest of the computer, and allowing video to be displayed on the LCD. The Road Rocket is a second display *out*put card. Unless there's some hangup with the drivers, I can't see why not.
