Photoshop personalization
Posted by: slomacuser on 2009-10-01 23:26:47
I bought times ago a original Photoshop 1 on diskettes (main app is on one 800k I think), the problem is that the previous owner run it directly from diskette, as it is personalized to his name.

How can I reset that, to a new user?

I'm fairly sure most applications keep the name as a string resource, which can be accessed and changed from within ResEdit.

Yep, it's stored in the "Reg" resource. I'm not sure how to reset it though. You might just have to replace the name and company info with your own.

Make sure to work off a copy as it won't run if the reg info is invalid.

If I change or remove the "reg" resource, the app wont run, it displays alert dialog "Application is damaged"...
