Posted by: techknight on 2009-09-24 12:34:18
I have a Dayna Daynaport E/II-T ethernet card inside a duo dock, and the system 8.1 thats on my duo will NOT see the card natively. does it require a special driver? and where do i get it?

both do the same thing.

I tried to run the hardware diagnostics and it just locked the whole machine up. hmmmm....

I copied the ethertalk extensions and overwrote what was already in the extension folder from installing the OS, i still get the issue on TCP/IP giving me an error that the predefined "ethernet" doesnt exist, so switching to localtalk, blah blah.

i think the ethernet card is shot 🙁 funny though, i remmber long long long ago it used to work. native in the OS as it sat.

could be possible that the ethernet card needs System 7.
