Freecycle iMac

From a local Freecycle pickup. Blueberry 400mhz DVD. 256mb ram and 10gb hard drive. Needs a keyboard. So far it works fine. Not sure what I'll do with it. Maybe I'll use it for classic OS games. This was the first conquest for me in quite a while. 🙂

Great conquest! I love those G3 iMacs as secondary machines. Still very usable, and even their AIO design makes opening them up a little labor-intensive, they're still surprisingly easy to get inside and upgrade.

I love G3 iMacs! I have two myself, a Rev A Tray loader, and a Rev A Slotloader! (350mhz!)

The SlotLoaders are very easy to upgrade IMO.

I loaded os 9.2.2 and 10.3.9 on it. The only problem it has is that CDs have trouble ejecting all the way. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I took the bottom cover off and the drive looks pretty clean inside.

Very common problem. Not much you can do about it - the ejection mechanism gets old.

Ditto on my 350mhz.
