| bus errors? |
Posted by: Richard on 2009-08-18 23:57:58 I have a Quadra 700 here that constantly gets bus errors at startup, right before it would load extensions. Often though, this does not happen. The ratio is about 50/50 if I had to estimate. Once, I even got a Sad Mac that translated to a bus error. Bus errors mean trying to access memory that does not exist. What would cause this?

Posted by: Gil on 2009-08-19 06:16:23 I remember I got that a lot with my Performa 578. I washed the motherboard, and it went away. Could be cap related, although there are other possibilities.

Also, whether it is relevant or not, the onboard ethernet on it is dead.
