HTML Editor for OS 7-9?
Posted by: Gil on 2009-06-13 20:36:26
Does anyone know of a good, free HTML editor for OS 7-9? I looked on Pure-Mac and couldn't really find anything.

Better yet: Is there a way to type HTML into SimpleText and save it as an HTML file?

@Second Question, yes, as I've done it.

As MrMacPlus said, yeah, you can use SimpleText to generate a HTML page if you write the code yourself - just be aware that SimpleText is unable to read or write any files over 25K.

MPW can do large text files.

BBEdit is my favourite for hand-coding HTML. Multi-file find-and-replace is quite handy... when you make as many mistakes as I do ;-)

BBEdit hands down!

Not exactly what you're searching for, but I'd recommend

Dreamweaver 4. I've used it with Mac OS 8.6 - 9.2.2 with

great success.
