"This older version is no longer supported. Please upgrade...yada yada.."
Here's my issue. I'm running 10.2.8 and can't go any higher on this machine. I booted on OS9 and tried it again. Where this application once worked fine, it now crashes. Yahoo IM V3.0 requires 10.4 or higher so I guess it's time to remove the application from this machine.
Yes, I know they've incorporated IM into Yahoo Mail, but I don't really care for that. There's also a web application that does the same thing. The thing that pisses me off is, here's a piece of software that worked fine one day and is crap the next day.
I googled various related terms and I couldn't find any type of retirement announcement for the Mac, however I did find where Yahoo is planning on retiring the PC versions lower than V9 in August. As for Mac courtesy, it seems like Yahoo could care less.
Does anyone else use this version of IM? If so, try it and see if you get the same result. I'm not looking for a fix, I just had to blow some steam.
