Hey all-

I found an eMac in a recycling pile today. The machine works perfectly as far as I can tell; slight burn in and a few scratches on the case, but nothing major.

Specs:

700MHz G4

256MB RAM

40GB HD

Combo Drive

Doesn't have an AirPort card. But hey, what can you expect for free? 🙂

Looks like a great spare kinda mac to have around, esp since it can do OS X and 9, a good gateway machine.

Nice! :O My school still uses some of these exact models.

The one eMac from a school without pencil stabs. Good work!

Nice work - the eMacs are pretty cool.

I did a heap of work in a Uni lab a few years back on one with exactly the same specs as this.

Yeah, I'm still not sure if I'm going to use it or not; I've got a Quicksilver running at 867MHz, and it seems much snappier than the eMac. Plus, the QS is a lot more expandable.

The eMac is definitely quieter, though 😉

despite having a crt jammed over the parts.
