| G4 Sawtooth 500MHz |
Posted by: joshc on 2009-04-13 07:57:25 Got one of these for £20 ($30) with 27GB HD, 1GB RAM, DVD RAM drive and Zip drive. Did a clean install of OS 9, runs very well - nice and responsive. Now all it needs is a quiet drive and a quiet case fan.

I have a G4 450 that's hooked up to the VGA on my 19" Princeton LCD and the PC tower is hooked up to the DVI on the same monitor. I switch inputs for a poor mans KVM.
I really missed having a Sawtooth. I had for a few years then sold it. I was talking with a friend of mine and he mentioned he had one in storage. Made my day.

Posted by: coius on 2009-04-14 14:00:31 Nice Conquest. I have a G4 500Mhz Dually that I got the CPU from a Gig-Ethernet online. I overclocked from 450->500Mhz and threw 1.5GB RAM in it, as well a 320GB SATA HDD with a Sonnet PCI SATA Card.
I also have a Gigabit Ethernet PCI Card in it, as well as GeForce4 MX AGP 4x Card w/ 64MB VRAM and VGA/ADC on it. I use a CMC 17" VGA LCD with it, It also has a Sony CRX-320 (I think) DVD-+RW DL in it. OS X 10.4.11, and a Aluminum Keyboard/Logitech Mouse
It really rocks. Still looking for other things to throw in it. I just wish I could get my QuickSilver to work. 867Mhz Goodness with the same specs. Not sure what to do with it though...
