| What Color Is This iMac? |
Posted by: Juliet Elysa on 2015-04-06 22:59:30 I think it's indigo, but not completely sure. Can someone verify this for me please?

My cat loves my vintage Macs too. 😛 Back when we used our bondi iMac on a daily basis he would constantly sit on top of it while it was powered on and warm.

Posted by: matacao on 2015-04-07 01:53:09 Yes, it's indigo.

Posted by: TheWhiteFalcon on 2015-04-07 05:25:19 Very very Indigo. I don't see any FireWire ports so I'm thinking 350MHz model?

|
Posted by: SuperToaster on 2015-04-07 15:30:23 I thought the 350 Mhz model only came in blueberry

Posted by: TheWhiteFalcon on 2015-04-07 15:32:43 Later they had a 350MHz Indigo as well. It was $799.Â

Posted by: Juliet Elysa on 2015-04-07 18:38:16 Cool, signature updated. 🙂 This computer was passed on to me from a good family friend... back in the day I spent tons of time playing Bugdom and Bugdom 2 on it. Good memories!

Posted by: raoulduke on 2015-04-11 11:39:02 I think he's graphite, right? Â Not indigo.
|
Posted by: matacao on 2015-04-11 11:49:32 No graphite is gray, indigo is blue.

Unnecessarily large pictures for the win!
It was probably the lighting that tripped me up regarding my iMac. Color can sometimes be tricky for me - I know tons of different names for similar colors, and in some situations I can easily identify even the slightest differences but in other situations... nope. 😛

Posted by: unity on 2015-04-11 17:53:34 Looks graphite to me.... one would say almost black. Not blue.... 😉
|
Posted by: TheWhiteFalcon on 2015-04-11 18:23:00 I'm sitting here looking at MY Indigo iMac. And I say it's indigo.

Posted by: finkmac on 2015-04-11 19:32:34 Eugh, that picture Juliet Elysa linked, with all the iMac colours… Is pretty terrible. If you look closely, you'll notice that it's a hue-adjusted image of a single iMac, which doesn't account for the changing of textures, etc in different iMac models.
The blue dalmatian and flower power are really just photoshopped in.

Posted by: uniserver on 2015-04-11 19:36:30 looks like something that i have 20 of in the locker 😛
500mhz motorola CPU version… to boot.
|
Posted by: SuperToaster on 2015-04-11 19:41:15 I have the same iMac thats the 500 Mhz version. That was the version near the end of the iMac G3s run
|
Posted by: raoulduke on 2015-04-11 20:10:20 lol thanks unity. Â it was a joke on principle.
|
Posted by: uniserver on 2015-04-11 20:18:04 yeah once they switched over to the IBM CPU… the iMac turned to total crap.
the 400 - 450 - 500 mhz ( motorola ) iMac's were strong.
|
Posted by: unity on 2015-04-11 20:34:55 I was not sure if that was what you were hinting to or not. 🙂 Not sure if anyone else here got it.
