Holy Crap!! TAM Serial number 000032
Posted by: nextse7en on 2009-02-28 19:07:39
My recent score off of ebay, the TAM was badly damaged in shipment, and not well cared for by its previous owner, I am painstakingly trying to restore it.

But look at these.

Sparticus, as most of you know, was the internal apple code name for the 20th anniversary macintosh. I wonder if this was a prototype?

-More as I find it.

EVT-3...yeah, that'd be a very late prototype. How.....awesome! :O If I'm correct...its not too much of a surprise to hear its not in that great condition...most prototypes usually aren't.

Pixplzthx? 😛

The EVT label identifies the TAM as an "Evaluation, Validation and Testing" unit. In other words, the design was finished, and the TAM was being sent down the production line to determine whether everything fitted correctly. Or it was being sent to a developer for final software testing. However, it is not a prototype.

It's still a nice find, so don't destroy those labels.

impressive- any chance you can get good pictures of the board (both sides), and, if you can get an apple system profiler report from 8.6+ that would be great
