Why are the specifications about the Quark QC Hard Disk included in Apple's Technical Info Library?

Probably because there is another TIL article discussing hard drive options for the Apple II that mentioned the Quark drive.

I suppose. What is interesting about the Quark drive is that it is one of the few that uses the floppy port which Apple specifically suggested developers not do (then did it themselves). Quark got out of the hardware business pretty fast, so I wondered if perhaps Apple did not buy part of their hardware division in much the same way the acquired Power Computing assets and thus offered service support. It might help to explain where the HD20 came from. Or am I way off base here?
