3 sticks of 1GB SO-DIMMs

3 sticks of DDR, 512MB and 256MB

Price: Free

The 512MB stick is going into my Grandma's computer to bump it to a total of 1.25GB. The 256 sticks will go into the Athlon machine I have as soon as get a good PSU for it. The SO-DIMMs will go into my closet as I don't have a laptop that uses them.

Minor mumble of, "Woot."

Damn you are lucky. Its hard to get nice RAM like that for nothing. Are those DDR or DDR2 SO-DIMMS?

Dunno? I'll have to take a look, but I think they're DDR.

I never knew there were 1gb PC100 SO-DIMMs. Largest I have seen is 512. I wonder if this is a way to get 2gb of RAM in a pismo.

Then it's prolly DDR2.

If the SO-DIMMs are DDR(1) and they work, you can sell them for around $60 a stick. That said, I'd keep them handy, as DDR1 is now just about as easy to get your hands on as PC133 when you're looking for a decent price.

Actually, I found a DDR(1) SO-DIMM 1gb for $35 at micro center, PNY brand. Exactly what I need to max out this machine here.
