Inspired by Mac Plus vs. AMD Dualcore

Hello! I just thought I'd say hi and mention that there is yet another person out there getting into the vintage Macs.

After spending too many years on the hardware/software upgrade treadmill, I decided that my iMac G5 was all the computer I really needed for the foreseeable future. Even though I had a faster computer than I did before, I wasn't really accomplishing a whole lot more than I was before.

Then I saw the Mac Plus vs. AMD Dualcore article and that did it...I would go retro to get more stuff done! (at least that's the plan). So I setup my Mac Plus for wordprocessing and now I'm hooked on getting a few of these old machines up and running (and being useful) again. I really like the compact Macs and the silence of the Mac Plus. (I'm hoping to get my Classic II running off a flash drive eventually).

I posted a few pics of my Classic II and Plus online for kicks.

Got any more cool apple posters? 😀

no, I have no other apple posters!

But that's not a garageband poster though; it says AppleMusic.com on it. My understanding of it is (and I could be wrong) that that was how Apple intended to market iTunes originally. AppleMusic.com was around before garageband. At one point it redirected to apple.com/itunes IIRC. My guess is they had to drop it due to the lawsuits by Apple Corps (i.e. the Beatles). Makes a nice poster though!
