Help finding some files... [Updated!, Important!]
Posted by: macgeek417 on 2009-02-06 14:29:08
Here are the files I am missing. Please look through the list and see if you have any of the files mentioned here.

There are some files that I thought I had, and so weren't on the first list, but turned out to be corrupt. Thanks! 😉

The following list will be updated as files turn up!

Later I will post what I do have. Maybe that will help convince people to help!

Thanks.

After searching the web a bit, i discovered that an FTP site, ftp.blackcube.org, appears to have quite a few of them, but it appears that it disappeared off the net about a month ago. 🙁

Anyone know of a mirror/archive of it???

...Can I have some more help please???

I can't look throughout every site on http://68kmla.org/wiki/Macintosh_Software by myself!

Maybe I will resort to threats... I think I will!

I won't put the archive on the 'net when I finish recompiling it unless I get more help! }🙂

maxima and optima ect r on system6 heaven.

i understand ur urgency here, but on 68kmla were a little slow, give it about a week for a decent response. don't take it the wrong way , but if u come across too quickly, u may seem pushy.

Thanks!

It's just that it appeared that a new thread popped up and had 11 replys, while mine only had 1!

Yay! The list is getting shorter!

Anyone?

I'll see what I have. I'm in the middle of the process of sorting all my software. And I remember having downloaded a couple of things from multimac.ch back when it was still online.

I saw in another thread you already tried to access files through the Internet Archive. Have you tried all links from all dates? I ask because I remember that some System disks were only available from some dates.

First of all, try all the sites in this topic:

http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2162

Second, connect to preterhuman.net through a Hotline client - there's a lot of stuff on there.

PM me if there's still some you can't find.

The page on the wiki I linked to has all the sites on that topic and more--I copied the links there myself!

Yes, i got a "not in the archive at any date" kinda error for those files

EDIT: I didn't do the "system" directory, because I have the whole thing on a external HD at home, (I'm on vacation, going home tommorrow.)

You might ask blackcube.org's maintianer. he is a member here, and on nextcomputers.org . I'd ask there.

Actually in a tiny town just outside of Evansville so small that it doesn't even have it's own post-office!

And worse... no broadband internet!

Sounds like where I used to live. I moved into the suburbs a few months ago. 10/1 internet is what heaven is like 😉

Well maybe we know the answer (and are in possession of the software) already. 😛

Most of the files you listed, I am most certain that I was able to download them a month or two ago, or I got them from another source. Are you being comprehensive? Some dates in the web archive may have files which other dates do not.
