Dealing with NIB image disk...
Posted by: foody on 2009-01-22 09:47:58
Hello,

I want to ask one question I have this AWESOME Apple II game that I want to transfer to my disk but the image is .NIB and ADT Pro claims it can handle .NIB files. But when I try to put it in the disk it fails it only works with .DSK. How do I transfer .NIB files between PC to my Apple II through ADT Pro?

I did notice that the .DSK image is 140KB and .NIB is 228KB so how can I handle it? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, at least as far as I know, there is no way to transfer a .NIB image back to an Apple II and turn it into a real disk again.

Theoretically you could try using Saltine's Super Transcopy, which will create .NIB images, to turn the .NIB into an image you can transfer but I haven't had any luck with it yet.

Where can I get Saltine's Super Transcopy?
Just about everywhere, it would seem. You'll usually see it as SST.

I tried SST, I tried the full name I did all possibility in google and I cannot get it. I just end up reading forums, documents, blogs, logs, pdf logs, the document for it, blah blah blah, anything and everything just not the one I need. Can someone please help me find a link for it? Thanks in advance.
