| How to transfer files ONLY? |
Posted by: foody on 2009-01-20 23:51:05 Hello,
I have one question I need to ask, I have already ADT Pro to transfer disk images but what if I want to transfer SINGLE file from PC to my Apple IIgs. In my Apple IIgs HD there are couple of partition disk and I want to transfer files like SuperMario.SHK or GS-SHRINKIT or things like this to the HD of my Apple IIGS. Is there A PROGRAM.DSK that does this thing where ones I transfer the disk image to the real Apple IIgs I can use it to communicate with the PC and turn my Apple IIgs into a server and my PC as a client and I can transfer single files from PC to Apple IIGS? Thanks in advance.
PS, "IF someone can help me with the other post http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8798, it would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance."

Sure, any of the telecommunications programs of the day had file transfer features. i.e. http://www.dataswamp.net/apple2eserialterm/index.php
I find it easier to just use ADTPro to transfer a RAM disk image to the PC, copy files to the image with CiderPress, then transfer it back to the GS. Exit back to GSOS, and copy the files to wherever they need to go.
