Well.. I've got an iMAC G3 600mhz with 1 gig og ram currently running 10.4. I was wondering if it's difficult to install Os 9 on this thing, since I miss th OS.. please help.
It's the latest model of iMAC G3 I think.. The white/seethrough version,, and no, it wasn't me that installed osx onto it. :-/
I dont want classic running over osx.. I want pure OS 9

As long as you find an OS 9.1 disk, you should be fine.

An OS 9 Install disc won't even 'see' the drive if OS 9 drivers were not installed when the drive was formatted, and before OS X was installed. You can install OS 9 into the same partition as OS X after the event, but it will be available only to run in Classic Mode.
All is not lost however. If you have the means to make a restorable full backup or a disk image of the present OS X installation and associated Users Home directory/ies, you can reformat the HDD, and partition the HDD into (say) a 4GB OS 9.2.2 (only) volume and a remainder-GB OS X only volume. Drive Setup on the OS 9 Install CD will do the (erase and partition) trick, as will Disk Utility in OS 10.4.x, but in the latter case you must be sure to opt for the 'Install OS 9 Drivers' facility. Formatting from OS 9 will install OS 9 drivers without being asked, and not impede the working of OS X at all, given that the formatting of the drive is HFS+ in both mountable volumes (data partitions).
The same Disk Utility can then restore from your disk image of the former OS 10.4.x installation, before or after you install OS 9.2.1 onto the smaller partition and update to OS 9.2.2, which is far and away the best version of OS 9 as either standalone or in Classic Mode. OS 9.2.2 can still be selected for use in Classic Mode by OS X on another partition (or 'volume').

Actually, the hard drive has to be formatted with "Mac OS 9 drivers" installed for the OS X disk to see it. You might be able to partition the drive with the OS 9 drivers on the one part.
