| Woohoo! Airport card!!! |
Posted by: coius on 2009-01-03 13:25:56 I had bought a batch of PowerBook G4s from Brooklyn (Both TiBooks) and I turned over one of them (I assume either 400 or 500Mhz G4) and it had an airport card in the PCMCIA slot!! sweet!
Thanks brooklyn! My PowerMac G4 Sawtooth now has wifi!

Posted by: coius on 2009-01-03 15:33:36 but it was in the PCMCIA slot! not the airport slot.
Also, I reconsidered the fact that my PowerMac G4 will be land-lined to the network at all times, I threw it into the bottom of the G4 PowerBook and am currently running wifi through that. Had I known there was an airport card, I would never have gone to orangeware and paid for the driver for my 802.11a/b/g Wireless PC-Card from D-Link. But then again, it's an 802..1g card 😛

Same thing happened to me when I got a PowerBook G3. I opened it up and asked myself, "What's this?" I pulled it and, ta-da Airport Card!!! I know that lucky feeling.

Posted by: Brooklyn on 2009-01-03 17:27:05 I put it in there cause i didn't want it to get damaged in shipping, and didn't want to take apart the books. Sorry I guess I forgot to tell you :/
