Posted by: Charlieman on 2008-12-28 12:57:07 MacX performs as a display terminal. The heavy lifting is performed on the remote (mainly Unix) device, with the graphical output displayed in MacX. Research "X11".

Posted by: porter on 2008-12-30 00:29:23 It would run in the Macintosh environment of A/UX with no change.
Rewriting as an UNIX/X11 application would be a completely different kettle of fish, do-able, but whether it's worth it is another matter.
