I put Windows 98se on it instead and kept the 128mb simm leaving 64mb in it. I loaded as many of the Dell drivers as I could find and it works nicely. In the spirit of the season I decided to put it back up on Freecycle I had 22 people asking for it. It gets picked up tomorrow.

| Posted by: Unknown_K on 2008-12-14 10:49:37 I snagged an optiplex GX150 for free (it was gutted) because I wanted the 1Ghz p3 before the owner tossed it. The more I thaught about it I figured somebody would want that system so I snagged some parts I had laying around (p3-866, 512MB PC133, 30GB HD, 40X CDROM, PCI 56K modem, speakers, optical mouse) and purchased a few extra parts for little or nothing (DELL Keyboard, DELL monitor 16" viewable, cdrom mounting rials) and have a whole system (stripped and cleaned inside and out) to give away to a needy family this week.
Yesterday I snagged a free DELL motherboard with CPU (P4 3.0 Ghz 800 FSB 1MB cache) that I am wondering what to do with. Other then having one RAM clip broken it looks fine, but those motherboards come mounted on a non standard metal tray (or is it ATX?). I think I have a PS made for it and if possible I might stick it in a ATX tower with DDR2 RAM.
