Macintosh IIci

From ebay, without RAM or Hard Disk.

Was 18$, seems to be in nice shape.

Has no cache card, will that make it slow?

Thanks!

I plan on adding a lapis video card, and my new macsense ethernet card.

A cache card is worth getting if you can find one. Shouldn't be too hard to find one - Apple were shipping the later IIcis with them pre-installed IIRC.

Nice score though - the IIci is my favourite machine.

It really depends upon what you want to do. If you are doing anything that is CPU intensive (e.g. graphics) then a cache card should make a significant difference. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it too much. After all, why spend a lot of money on a model that's on its last legs. (The IIci is one of the machines that suffers from leaky capacitors.)

And I have to agree with macgreg, the IIci is an awfully nice machine.
