| HP Pavilion 505w |
Posted by: Lateralus on 2008-11-16 11:11:41 Not the baddest piece of machinery on earth, but a friend unloaded a Pavilion 505w on me;
2.4GHz Celeron
512MBs of RAM (2GB system max)
80GB Seagate
DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive
An ASUS mATX board that's lacks AGP, but has 3x PCI available.
I may throw some more RAM in there or use the fact that I have a nice case and optical drive as a reason to buy a 780G-based mATX board, some DDR2 and a 45w Athlon 4850e.

Posted by: techfury90 on 2008-11-16 12:44:48 It doesn't void the warranty. There is a very big difference between "not supported" and voiding the warranty.

Posted by: benjgvps on 2008-11-17 13:54:49 Is the board a P4P800-MX? Had the same board and replaced it because I wanted to have a decent video card. Once I grab 512 MB of RAM I can throw it and a 2.6 P4 into my server.
