Hi!
Im so glad this forum is alive! Its needed to keep 68k macs alive.
So to make long story short.
I am going to build this MIDI drum pad controller:

Ok my questions are:
How do I interface an old mac such as Quadra with a midi device
what software is need for midi sequencing (cubase? ProTools?)
Will I need some MIDI to ADB converter?

You need a MIDI interface with a (Mac) serial connector. This can be bought, or you can make a simple on yourself. Google around for schematics.

The Pro Audio Spectrum (PAS) 16 Nubus sound card has MIDI ports. There are also serial to MIDI adapters as mentioned above (can be used on macs and the IIgs).
