Posted by: MrMacPlus on 2008-09-16 16:50:44 I finally was able to pick up my Quadra 660av today, It has 68MB of RAM and OS 8.1 flooded with extensions... Not OK. I will have to reinstall the system and see what is making it fail to start up 3 times out of 5.

Posted by: MrMacPlus on 2008-09-16 19:29:03 Now don't jump to conclusions, It's a Apple Color Monitor, as stated on the back. It's a failing monitor, I'm sad to say, and it also has an image that wobbles back and forth every once in a while. The floppy drive doesn't eject, so I need to keep a paperclip handy. It's in good cosmetic condition, but has several problems.

Posted by: Christopher on 2008-09-16 19:55:48 Maybe it's sad.

Got a different monitor you can try?

Posted by: porter on 2008-09-17 22:14:08 Its worth grabbing some Macintosh DB15 to VGA convertors.

Posted by: MrMacPlus on 2008-09-20 14:15:30 Got some adapters from the owner but the hard drive just head crashed. So now this thing has a huge bulky Dell monitor, a screeching HD, and a floppy drive that won't eject. Does this sound like a dying machine to you?
On the positive side, the owner just gave me a brand new Apple Keyboard II!

Posted by: coius on 2008-09-20 15:03:08 Might I interest you in a PM 7200 from this thread:
http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7379
that you can drop in as parts replacement? It's got a 13" RGB Monitor, 1GB HDD, Floppy drive, CD-ROM. It should help!

Posted by: MrMacPlus on 2008-09-20 15:22:10 @coius: No thank you, I really have reached my computer limit for the moment, and really am not the kind of person that spends money on older computers, most of mine were freebies.
