I finally was able to pick up my Quadra 660av today, It has 68MB of RAM and OS 8.1 flooded with extensions... Not OK. I will have to reinstall the system and see what is making it fail to start up 3 times out of 5.

Hmmm... the monitor seems to have this problem where it wants to show everything with a blue tint.

Now don't jump to conclusions, It's a Apple Color Monitor, as stated on the back. It's a failing monitor, I'm sad to say, and it also has an image that wobbles back and forth every once in a while. The floppy drive doesn't eject, so I need to keep a paperclip handy. It's in good cosmetic condition, but has several problems.

Maybe it's sad.

Maybe it said what? 😉

Got a different monitor you can try?

Its worth grabbing some Macintosh DB15 to VGA convertors.

Got some adapters from the owner but the hard drive just head crashed. So now this thing has a huge bulky Dell monitor, a screeching HD, and a floppy drive that won't eject. Does this sound like a dying machine to you?

On the positive side, the owner just gave me a brand new Apple Keyboard II!

Might I interest you in a PM 7200 from this thread:

http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7379

that you can drop in as parts replacement? It's got a 13" RGB Monitor, 1GB HDD, Floppy drive, CD-ROM. It should help!

@coius: No thank you, I really have reached my computer limit for the moment, and really am not the kind of person that spends money on older computers, most of mine were freebies.
