Hey! I have got some cool conquest news!
Today, one of my friends and I took a bit of a trip to NAU's surplus store, partially as a response to the trip techfury90 and John8250 took before. We browsed around, finding mainly the typical selection of Dell OptiPlexes and a few dysfunctioal sawtooth/gigabit POwerMac G4s.
There were a few amazing treasures hidden among the normal junk today, though. The first I found ad grabbed was an Agfa ePhoto 307 color digital camera. It's a lot like the quicktake in its own way, but not quite. I've got it powered up and I'm about 90% sure it works all the way, I just need to get the driver installed on my PowerBook 520c, on which I am typing this post.
The other thing I got was a pair of AppleDesig Powered Speakers. When I saw them, I immediately ran over and grabbed them, as though I was sure someone else wanted them from me at that time. Included was the power adapter, and the origial (I think) cable leading from the left speaker to the right speaker.
The sound fluxuates a bit on the speakers, I think I may need to invest in a replacemt power supply down the line, other than that though, they sound amazing.

By the way, if you do need a replacement PSU, have a look at your friends' dead or unused Sony gear - I have no idea what its from, but I have a 15V Sony adaptor that not only has the exact same power specifications as the original power adaptor, but also the exact plug that you need. The only disadvantage of it is that its not an inline-style adaptor like the Apple one, its a standard plugpack/wallwart adaptor.

Whoa... that Agfa reminds me of the Logitech camera from the early 90s that John8520 and I found at ECU surplus and forgot to mention... I forget the name, but it was really really weird looking.

As an update. I found out that the Agfa works properly, and wthww was able to help me find the software for it! Unfortunately, the software is PPC-only, so right now it is running on a machine we have at the office, an old Beige G3/233 with 192mb of ram. Not the best ever, but it runs 9.2.whatever quite handily, and it's suitable for the task of moving photos around.
I'll post a bunch of the images either to my wiki, or to my flickr stream when I get an opportunity.

Not too bad, all things considered. Not bad for a 1996 camera! Hell, its probably even better than my 2.1 MP Vivitar camera from 2003!
