Combo drive

I pulled out a DVDROM-CDRW drive from a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 that had it's LCD hit by an elbow. Put it into the Pismo sled, and wamo. It works. I tried a DVD movie in it and it plays with no dropping frames IN TIGER! :beige:

Makes me feel even more happy about this machine.

And it's bootable. I'm loading OS 9.1 as I type this.

I would assume most drives are bootable on G3 and newer machines. SCSI was the main problem with older macs that was making them unbootable on some drives.

I have popped a SuperDrive into my Pismo when I had it and it worked great 😀

Beige G3s and Yikes G4s (maybe B/W too?) in my experience are INCREDIBLY picky about what IDE CD drives they want to boot from. Bugs the hell out of me.
