Posted by: MrMacPlus on 2008-09-05 17:14:47 With my Quadra 660av coming soon, I am hating myself for throwing out an old P1 machine that included 16MB of 72-pin SIMMs, how was I supposed to know, though, it was back almost a year ago.

Posted by: porter on 2008-09-05 17:18:34 SIMMs are small items worth storing.
When decommissioning machines memory, disks and network cards are what I save.

Posted by: MrMacPlus on 2008-09-05 17:21:13 They were absolutely useless to me at the time. Gah, I feel stupid that I didn't save them, as I do nowadays.
:EDIT: Is it possible that it was 72-pin DIMMs? I would feel much less stupid if it was...

Posted by: tmtomh on 2008-09-06 12:43:11 Yeah, I always strip machines of everything - RAM, CPUs, and of course all expansion cards and drives. I've often thought, "Why am I saving all this crap" - but then some strange situation comes up where I actually need one of those saved items.
