Powerbook 520

Posted by: leosadvs on 2008-08-22 18:21:38 I got this powerbook 520 from a teacher who knows i collect vintage macs!! for free!! it not have the charger but i figured how to use other charger to start it.. it have system 7.5.3 (in Spanish) 😉 , a 180mb hd and 4 mb of ram.. i have a 16mb ram but i can't open the mac because a screw (one down the keyboard) is destroyed (somebody try to take it out with another tool i guess) it comes with some AOL and Compuserve things, the user manual, a globalmac modem manual (but the mac doesnt have modem) and a registry card. the screen looks stranger.. but if i can open it i can chech it.

Posted by: 30pin on 2008-08-24 19:48:04 You can carefully drill the screw head off. Then you can open up the 520 and change things. Whats left of the screw thread you should be able to grab it and screw it out with a small pair of pliers or small vise-grip.
