OK so it's not exactly a Mac (well it's in no way a Mac in any sense and has no connection with Macs, Apples, Cupertino or Lord Jobs) but picked up a cardboard box last night through Freecycle. So, for zero cash, I scored...
BBC Micro Model B
Manuals
5.25" disk drive (with all cables to hook it up)
A box of used 5.25" disks (sadly all dull database and office type stuff - no games 🙁 )
A box of shrink-wrapped 5.25" floppy disks
As if that wasn't enough, the little chap double-beeped straight into life. It was like being seven years old all over again 😀

I always think of the BBC having a connection with Macs because when I was at school there was generally one BBC and one Mac (LC, Classic or similar) in each classroom. I'm pretty certain that the first computer I ever used was a BBC Model B.

I'm pretty certain that the first computer I ever used was a BBC Model B. The price was right so I couldn't resist 😀
I also like the Mac connection (although the first, and only, computer at my school was a Beeb - No Macs in sight :'( )(then again, this before the Mac was released so maybe that would explain why...) so I'll say that that justifies me posting about it 🙂

It's also used in various Commodores and Ataris. The Nintendo has one too although its packaged differently.
