| Making Disk Images For "Mini vMac" |

I'm using the boxmac emulator "Mini vMac" but when I try to play a game with it it won't run.
The menu says Disk Image & I figured that that was the software using a different name but it isn't. lol
Any help, please, on turning the absolute ton of System 6 software that I have into disk images that are usable with "Mini vMac"?

I use vMac, but I'm not sure what your issue is. I run minivmac with my boot disk image followed by any other disk images I want available. I have noticed that vmac can be cranky about disk images.
If you want to post a link to the disk image you're trying to use, I can see if I can get it to run under vmac.

I think he wants to take his existing floppy disks and turn them into .dsk and make them useable in Mini vMac.

CaryMG, check out this link. It shows you how to make disk images using the game Dark Castle as an example. It's a really good tutorial for Mini vMac in general. I think it'll be useful for you!

What I'd like ta do is use the shareware I've downloaded in "Mini vMac".
The shareware only exists on my hardrive.
I wanna turn it into diskimages that'd be usable with "Mini vMac".

I wanna turn it into diskimags tat'd be usable with "Mini vMac". You need to download the blank disk images from the Mini vMac website. You should already have a boot disk, if not visit http://homepage.mac.com/chinesemac/earlymacs/
Then, change the .dsk to .img extensions and open them in the OS X Finder (be sure to use HFS images). then drag your shareware into the disk windows. Make sure you unmount them, then they should open right up in Mini vMac. Alternately, Paul Pratt offers software for use within Mini vMac which lets you import and export files directly into and out of Mini vMac if you don't want to go through the disk image shuffle ... but you have to build them first.

Cary, the link I provided shows what Mac128 is talking about in explicit detail. Only, I've found you don't even have to change the extension. Mini vMac opens my .DMG files just fine. The link is a PDF and in the PDF is a direct link to the disk images (or you can make your own). It's pretty simple and will get you up and running in no time.
