Vintage Wheels for the Mind Poster
Posted by: FloodXMU on 2015-03-05 07:27:38
There is an estate auction with this poster at it this weekend and I was wondering if it was original. I have seen several of these Wheels for the Mind posters online, but never one like this. I know it is really subjective, but I am curious how much it is worth. Thanks in advance.

The thing that gives me pause (note that I am not an expert) is the fact that the Apple logo isn't six-colors.

From what I have read they weren't always the six-color in the Wheels for the Mind collection. Here is a fairly common poster and as you can see the Apple logo is black.

From some more research I have done these were intended for the Education and in the education line the six-color logo was rarely used. Additionally I was able to locate another picture of an identical poster @:

I have been looking for several hours and this seems to be the only other picture of this poster. So, either it is extremely rare or could still be a fake.

HELP!!!

Not a clue.  Never saw one until today.  Only advice I can offer is bid what you're willing to pay for it, and no more.

Yeah from what I can tell the auction has a huge sign collection, so you would think a sign connoisseur would know that this is an original vintage poster. I had never seen one and was just curious if someone else had seen one.

I'd wager it's real.  It's a pretty obscure poster for someone to make a bootleg.

Agreed. I've never even seen these Wheels for the Mind products before, and I've been into Macs since 1992.
