Lombard/Pismo Slot loading drive

Is there any place to get a slot loading bezel for a Lombard/Pismo expansion bay?

Not that I have ever heard of.

Maybe MCE?

I have the same challenge before me. I'm considering taking the existing bezel and Dremeling a slot in it, or moulding a new one out of something or other.

Ya, I'm pretty sure that most are either hacks or sold together with a drive as an upgrade/complete kit (from the likes of MCE).

I'm content to leave mine exposed. But then, rough edges don't bother me much.

Dust bothers me. I have a cat sitting on my lap as I type. He likes to sniff at the exposed CD drive when it's spinning. This, too, bothers me.

The crack that has just appeared in the tiny strip of plastic in the center of the front edge, between the clicker and the latch, this bothers me more. I shoulda got a bezel in there before I started typing with this thing on my lap.

I have just grown accustomed to keeping the tray loading drive in unless i actually need to burn a disc.

The drive is in, but the bezel fits not. I believe this, and my habit of two-fisted typing with my Mac on my lap has caused enough case flex to lead to the appearance of said crack.
