When I turn on my Apple //e the just says "Apple //e" at the top, and nothing else happens. I was expecting a prompt for Apple Basic. The Apple //e emulator I have does the same thing, so I'm guessing the computer is working, I'm just clueless. I looked for some sort of tutorial on the Apple IIs but found nothing about this. Everything I read online seems to start with "You'll see one of three prompts..."
So, what do I do to get a prompt?
Thanks.

When I turn on my Apple //e the just says "Apple //e" at the top, and nothing else happens. It's waiting for a floppy disk to boot. If you don't have one, hit Ctrl-Reset to get at the BASIC prompt. (Hold down the Ctrl key, hit the Reset key, then let go of both.)
