Snagged a Pioneer DVR-S501 drive for $2.00. Was worth $5400.00US new. Wanted one for a while.

It will burn authoring mode discs and may burn some general types. Have to do some testing.

That's very exciting. Is there any software out there to burn DVDs using a 68k Mac with it? Toast DVD 3 requires PowerPC... :-(

Cool score. I'm vaguely looking for a SCSI DVD-RAM drive, but the ones I can find on ebay are too pricey and overseas.
