Got in the mail today

Daystar XLR8 MachspeedZIF G4 550 boxed with everything that is supposed to come with it, but used. New 600mhz model is $200 from Daystar website.

ATi Graphics Xpression Mach64 2mb ISA video card. This is BRAND NEW, box was only opened so seller could take photo for ebay. Still in shrink wrap with all documentation, discs and assorted doodads. Very rare chipset in ISA.

I paid a little under $65 for the pair including shipping.

You collect ISA PC cards?

No, but I got an old 386 machine in a load of more recent machines and the post beeps indicate a bad video card and I didn't have any ISA cards for it. The Mach64 is probably the most powerful chipset released in ISA, so I figured I wouldn't wast my time getting anything less, although I do wish I could have found a 4mb card as it supports greater color depths at higher resolutions, but as rare as they are I figured I better grab this one while I can because a 4mb probably won't show up for a long time if at all. It was also new in the box, so I was pretty sure it wasn't abused and I won't have to hunt down drivers or the other tools that came packed with it.

There are other good chipsets for ISA depending on what you are looking for (gaming, windows 3.1, CAD). I have a nice 2 or 4MB Appian ISA card thats great for 16bit at 1024x768 in Win 3 in my 386DX/40, my 286/16 has a nice 2MB video capture and VGA card in it (called a schoolboard something).
